Test Code Measles PCR Measles (Rubeola) RNA by RT-PCR  

Important Note

Physician must contact the Local Health Department to request testing before ordering.  

Local Health Department will determine neccessity  of testing. If testing is necessary, send specimen to ProMedica Laboratories Referred Testing Department  to package and send specimen to lab as directed by Health Department.  Testing is available at Mayo or can be sent to ODH or MDHHS.  Specimen must be accompanied with correct paperwork.
