Patient Preparation

Rh type and antibody test of mother and newborn must be determined.If Fetal Screen is positive, Kleihauer-Betke is to be done on postpartum maternal blood postdelivery to estimate the volume of fetal-maternal hemorrhage and the number of vials to administer.
Administration: Administer as soon as possible or within 72 hours of sensitizing event. Administer product intramuscularly.
