Clinician Collected. See ROM+ Collection Instructions on the left side under Patient Collection Information. Insert the sterile swab tip into the vagina 2-3 inches (5-7 cm). Withdraw the swab after a minimum of 15 seconds. Place swab in buffer vial and mix for 15 seconds. Bend and break swab, leaving the swab in the buffer solution. Ensure swab stick is short enough so that the flat screw top lid can be securely fastened. Send to lab.Rejection Criteria
Grossly bloody; Improperly labeled; leaking specimens
