Important Note

“Patients receiving Rasburicase (Elitek®) should be drawn in Pre-Chilled

PST tubes. Samples must be immersed immediately and maintained in an

ice water bath. Analyze within 4 hours. Samples not drawn in a pre-chilled

tubes and maintained in an ice bath will result in falsely low uric acid

results.”
