Collection Instructions
Physician or nurse are responsible for specimen collection. Organisms are to be submitted in a sterile container with secure closure. Specimens should be transported to the North Campus Laboratory ASAP.
Rejection Criteria
Specimens must be properly labeled with patient name, patient number, body site, date and time of collection and initials of person collecting specimen. If unacceptable specimen is received, the appropriate nursing station will be notified before disposa
